Geneva Chamber Announces

Business of the Year, Citizen of the Year

 

GENEVA- The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce has announced the recipients for the Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year Awards, which will be presented next week at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner.

The 2015 Business of Year Award will be presented to the Finger Lakes Times, who has been a member of the Chamber since 1976, and has remained actively involved with the Chamber and surrounding community.

 

Trina NewtonThe 2015 Citizen of the Year Award will be presented to Trina S. Newton, Superintendent of the Geneva City School District, recognizing her work and dedication of improving the local graduation rate, as well as developing innovative school programs.

 

GPDAdditionally, a special honor will be presented to the Geneva Police Department in recognition for their diligent service to the City of Geneva and local community.

 

 

 

 

silentauctionlogoThe event will be held on Thursday, January 28th at Club 86, with registration opening at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner and awards presentation beginning at 6:30.  The evening will also feature a ShopLocal! Silent Auction, as well as a LoveLocal! Live Auction which will support buy local efforts and showcase a variety of goods and services that are available throughout the chamber’s membership and local community.

A final reservation deadline has been extended to Monday, January 25. Tickets are $65 for members, and $75 for non members.
