The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated Membership Anniversary Recognitions at its Membership Harvest Celebration Sept. 26 at Three Brothers Wineries & Estates. Among those honored was the Chamber’s longest standing Member, Finger Lakes Partners Insurance, who has been a Chamber Member for 53 years. Pictured in the photo are GACoC staff members Abigail Wandell, Andrea Deckert and Miranda Odell, Finger Lakes Partners Insurance representatives John Parrott, Charles Bartishevich (GACoC Vice Chairman), Sandi Brennen and Laura Everdyke, and GACoC Board Members Tanya Taylor and Polly Clark.
This year’s event featured the new addition of honoring Membership Anniversaries for eligible members. Those who are celebrating 10, 20, 30 and 40 years as Chamber Members in 2018 received a special recognition for their membership milestone at the event.
As this is the first year the Chamber honored its members for these milestones, the Chamber also recognized its longest standing member, Finger Lakes Partners Insurance, who has been a Chamber Member for 53 years.
The Chamber’s members who were recognized at the event are as follows:
40-year Chamber Members: Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Geneva Historical Society, Zotos International Inc.;
30-year Chamber Members: Cam’s New York Pizzeria of Geneva;
20-year Chamber Members: Casella Waste Services, CQ Sign Company, Geneva City School District, Geneva Granite Co. Inc., Prejean Winery, Tierney Pension Administration LLC, Tradition Chevrolet;
10-year Chamber Members: Finger Lakes Bone & Joint Center, Finger Lakes Gifts & Lounge, Jonathan P. Munson Trucking, and Lochland School Inc.
“The second annual Membership Harvest Celebration was an ideal time to honor the longevity of our loyal Chamber Members who are celebrating decade milestones,” said Miranda Odell, the GACoC’s executive director. “We look forward to continuing the tradition, as it is a way to show our appreciation of our member businesses and to continue telling the stories of each.”
Five Star Urgent Care served as a Promotional Sponsor for the Membership Harvest Celebration. In addition, Bank of the Finger Lakes and Wegmans of Geneva were Community Sponsors for the event; while Ameriprise Financial-Silver Leaf Family Financial, Littlejohn Orthodontics and Reliant Community Federal Credit Union were Hors d’oeuvre Station Sponsors.
As one of the three major annual events coordinated by the Chamber, the Membership Harvest Celebration is one of the primary fundraisers that provides proceeds to sustain and build upon, the Chamber’s programs and services offered to member businesses.
All three events are partially funded by the Chamber’s Annual Partners. In 2018, those annual partners include Finger Lakes Partners Insurance and Lyons National Bank.
The next major event for the GACoC will be the 2019 Annual Dinner held in January. For more information about the Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce and its programs, go to www.genevany.com or call 315-789-1776.
