Fox Run Vineyards are excited to *officially* welcome Craig Hosbach as their new head winemaker!
Craig, a New Jersey native, comes to Fox Run with more than 18 years of winemaking experience in New Jersey and New York (the last 5 years in the Finger Lakes!). Hosbach, 44, succeeds long-time winemaker Peter Bell, who is retiring after 27 years with Fox Run.

Q: What is your favorite wine to drink?
A: There is never one specific wine, I get bored if I drink the same wine too often and start finding flaws in it. It’s more about the varietal for me and that is Riesling because it can be made in so many different styles and produces consistently beautiful wines.
Q: What is your favorite food and wine pairing?
A: Shrimp scampi with Dry Riesling
Q: Favorite thing to snack on during harvest…
A: Does beer count as a snack?
Q: What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
A: I love watching baseball, the New York Mets in particular. Spending as much time with my daughter as I can, whether it’s taking her to a museum, a park or just watching a movie together.
Q: What is your favorite thing about Fox Run and which wine are you most excited to make here?
A: The super friendly and supportive atmosphere, it’s always great vibes from ownership through the staff. Riesling!
“Peter has been a mentor to me- and many other winemakers- for more than a decade, and I’m honored to be succeeding him.” says Hosbach. “I am fortunate to be joining an established team, and I’m eager to experience my first vintage at Fox Run Vineyards.”
